I just received this notice From the City of Pearland via email and I wanted to share it with you. Please take note as it may effect your commute or daily activities:

 

"Phase two of the McHard Road reconstruction (from Country Place Parkway to Country Place Boulevard) is scheduled to open, weather permitting, by the evening of Monday, August 30, 2010 with signal turn on occurring by the evening of Tuesday, August 31, 2010.

In preparation, the contractor is finalizing work items on the newly reconstructed westbound lanes and signalized intersections this week. The signals at the intersections with CR 94 and Country Place Boulevard have been placed on flashing red. After signs and striping are complete on Monday, the newly reconstructed east and westbound lanes will then be open to normal traffic. Phase three of McHard Road (Country Place Boulevard to Cullen Pkwy) is still under construction and will remain closed.

The City encourages the public to please obey the work zone speed limit, use patience and caution as the area is still a construction zone. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause."
