This is great, I read the book "Four Hour Work Week" by Tim Ferriss earlier this summer and in it he talks about blogging, he suggests you write down a list of at least 50 blog topics, and also states if you cant think of 50 you are not passionate about what you are doing. So I started my list and add to it almost every day, I am up to 92 ideas so far, the list is similar to blogging the more you do it the easier it becomes to find things to write about.

How about golf course properties or courses you have played.

or The luxury home market

I like to do a Freebie Friday blog as I belong to a lot of freebie websites and I like to share those with others and another one to blog about are free events in local areas like farmers markets, concerts in a park or something along those lines.  Another I like to blog about is our local family owned restaurants.

Great post, you came with some terrific ideas. One thing that I like to do in mine sometimes is to take my Flip Cam, gointo a subdivision and shoot 8 or 10 clips with narration and then create a movie video which I embed into the blog. I like to keep them at 2 to 3 minutes for attention span purposes.

Kerry...

A few ideas to consider:

- If you have a large enough following I'm sure some new businesses would offer discounts to those that mention your blog. Even if you have to do it jointly with other bloggers in your market everyone likes saving money

-Occassionally have guest bloggers write for your blog

-Personal finace, there's always something new. Right now the new credit card rules, credit scoring, 529 college plans, etc.

-Try www.luxist.com down at the bottom they have a lot of different categories but the etstaes in particular are of interest. everyone like to see the $5 - 10 million dream homes, or what celebrities are buying

-Most expensive sales in your market

-Recommend books you have just read

-New companies moving to town

-Case Schiller monthly affordability index...it looks real good right now

- Maybe close each blog with an interesting quote like: "Who the hell wants to hear actors talk?" - H.M. Warner, Warner Brothers

Thanks for your great list I'll look forward to the next installment!

Nice post Kerry and you've found something to blog about which people love. More often than not this is a statement or question I hear no matter where I am. In fact I did a session yesterday with a west Georgia agent who said "I would love to blog but I just don't know what to blog about." When I said, "blog about that", she got it. I imagine her first blog will be like a lot of others ... "This is my first blog and I really don't know what to write about but ...." then success may soon follow!

Kudos

I perfect example of why "re-blogging" is a great thing - I might have never seen this! Great post filled with great ideas. Thanks Kerry and Joni

I love your two lists -- part 1 and part 2 and I copied them into a word document so I can refer to it, should I ever stop thinking of what I want to blog about.  Right now, as a relatively new real estate blogger, my ideas are endless and I am a total AR addict.  Still, thanks again!
