Rose

Ah-ha!  The name is what gets people attracted to your blog entry.  You can be as smart and interesting as you want...but if you can't grab them with the title.  Nothing...Nada...Zilch.  Okay, maybe I'm a little competitive...and would probably rewrite the post is NOBODY commented....but is it always the title that attracts...just like curb appeal.

I want to be popular too!!!!

So...what are the poular topics with examples:

What attracts you?

What causes you to leave a comment?

Original Title....A Rose by Any Other Name...after writing this post, I renamed it...I think I gave myself good advice...what do you think.

Dear Marcia,

I really am tired of being the middle child and having you get all the attention.  Of course you always have the cute eye catching titles to your posts that pull everyone into your room to play!

Signed,

Jan

(Yvette, thanks for the smile.  For me, it IS the headline/title that catches my eye first, then the poster.)

I agree.. a catchy title is very important.  I have also heard that a question in the title and in the blog that readers will want to answer in their comments also works well.

The name Yvette Chisholm got my attention.  You commented on one of my posts, and I clicked the link back to your profile so I could read your blog.  Great Post!  I've made you an associate, and I've subscribed to your blog.  You have good content, and you express yourself well.  It's the winning combination to increase readership.  I'll be a regular.     ...and who is MARSHA?
