94 Comments on Dear AR Newbies: A Letter From a Backdoor Ambassador
Great post. THanks for sharing your great ideas and thoughts with Newbie's. It is a lot to work out when you are starting out. TO have someone to fall back on is awesome.
Lesley you're telling me. When I first joined AR, I thought I was going to lose my mind. I didn't want to get out of bed. All I wanted to do was read, read, read, learn, learn, learn and absorb everything like a sponge. Then it hit. I actually had a job to do: Sell some real estate! Best wishes and you'll do fine I'm sure. Just call me if you need me.
Hello Ms Back Door Ambassador:) Very cute. It's people like you that have made AR what it is. And yes we all need to remember to sell RE, but AR keeps drawing you back in. It's a full time job just reading everyone's posts and comments!! It's always nice to see someone offering help:)
Thanks Karen. Blogging has become such an integral part of the entire real estate marketing schematic that it can be easy to get write up in the frenzy. Especially when you've got colleagues like the members here at AR that support you, educate you, make you laugh, make you cry, etc.
Charita, this is such a great idea. There should officially be a group for BDAMB's - a group of us who are more than willing to share and encourage new AR members, who have not been officially knighted by the AR gods for that purpose, with all of its perks....hmmm....
Hi Chartia...I'm so glad I clicked on the link in your latest post. You did a great job here. Newbies, and anyone that's been around for awhile but hesitant to blog, should be inspired to jump in. I'm happy it was featured.
Kate
Glad to see that "star" madam ambassador! I have tried twice but no got the juice!
Thanks Gary. It's an honor to wear it. And even though ActiveRain let me in the front door, I still sneak through the back door occassionally.
Great post, yes i wish i would have found a post like this when i started as well, it is nice of you to share with others. I enjoy reading your posts.
Thanks Scott. You really went and pulled one up from the history books. And thank you for reading my post.
Charita:
You are a very good ambassador. Newbies should take you up on your invitation. Happy New Year.
I love And if all else, fails you can call on me: Your Backdoor Ambassador (BTW that's code for: I don't have a star but I'm still willing to help).
But I do see a star and an AMBASSADOR badge under your photo. When did that happen?
Charita, you sound like my Sunday school teacher. When I first walked into the classrooom I felt all alone. She put her hand on my shoulder, reassured me all would be well and for some reason, when she said that "I knew ALL would be well".
Charita, I can relate...It was skurry for me too, but now I don't even know why I was skurred!
Charita, I'd have got started earlier if I'd found helpers like you. I love to write and have been postings regularly, but I need help with getting people to read. My "audience" is mostly people to whom I mention specific posts, and they don't keep reading later. What am I missing?
Charita, this is a great post - lots of great informatin that will work for us old times as well.
Charita... That's sage advice my fellow Rainer! I so totally agree, "focus on what you do know!" Share it with others and it'll grow in no time here on AR!
