If you were familiar with the Puget Sound area you would know that it is one of the premier locations around the country for pleasure motor boating. From the Washington state capitol of Olympia, all the way up through the Strait of Georgia in British Columbia, boating enthusiasts are offered some of the finest waters and harbors in the world.

Hi Rich,

Looking at this reminds me of the coast of Maine. Someday we will travel to your neck of the woods in our RV.

Thanks Jay

Rich, the water has to be freezing cold all year round, no?  It looks like a great place, and as you know, we are boaters but on the opposite side of the US.  Love the post and the pictures, the marina idea is great.

Being near the Ocean is one of the things I love most about New England, so I know what you mean when you say  that "One of the great things about living on the Kitsap Peninsula in scenic Washington State is that you're surrounded by water"

Like I told you in one of your other blogs, that is a beautiful part of the Country that you live in.

I stand corrected Rich :) ...and a very well done post outling the the different cities within Kitsap County. I was having a discussion today regarding Kitsap County and yours and Marks name came up, I might have had something to do with that ;)

Edit: That is a beautiful picture of the Olympics!

Yes, great local content.  I'm going to feature it as a good example to other members, about what really will catch a consumers eye.

Thanks, Matt. I'm still learning a lot of what constitutes a good, 'content-rich" blog. I hope we have the opportunity to hook-up sometime soon. Maybe you should just come over by ferry. Mark Flanders and I will take you out to Silver City Brewery. They've got some great stouts!

Jay - we would gladly welcome your visit. You can even park the RV on our driveway!

Rick & Ines - yeah, the water is pretty chilly year round. Very refreshing during the summer months though, when we're out crabbin.

Bill - what kind of boats do you have in mind?

George - our two coasts are very different in many ways, but waterfront and waterview are highly desired regardless of which coast you're on.

Brian - my award is your continued comments!

Toby - I try to keep a balance in my blogs, alternately between AR community/social blogs, consumer-oriented blogs, and area-specific blogs. Thanks for your kind thoughts!

Bill - I'm glad that I could provide some inspiration for you. I will look for your post!

Derek and Mariana - You're much too kind. But thanks for your thoughtfulness. This is a great place to live!

Suzanne - could be both, although Seattle is known for its musical influences, so probably Boatniks with a Beat is most appropriate.

What a great life. Just live near a great boat ramp, and spend part of the day out on the water. Real estate near the water is just the best way to go!
