In the market for a loft? In the last couple of months, I have had two buyers wanting a 2nd home in our lovely City, and was able to see the lofts currently on the market. What do you want - views of the City, views of the mountains? Sometimes when you get a corner unit, depending on where the building is located, you may get lucky and have BOTH!
With as many high rise buildings in Denver, and more being built, you definitely have options! You can get the "traditional" condo, or you can get a loft with up to 20 foot ceilings and exposed ductwork. This city view has a few clouds, and we don't have many of these!
With 300+ days of sunshine (and we defintely have had a very warm summer), and plenty of sunshine, there are many days with clear blue skies, so the views you will have - will be GREAT!
LoHi is emerging as the new upcoming area just outside of Highlands with many low-rise and high-rise buildings. There is a walk way into the City, and easy access to the Platte River walkway to bike, skate or walk/run. There is a farmers market close, health food stores, and lots of nightlife to enjoy! There are many unique shops, coffee shops and restaurants to choose from. LoHi is just West of I-25 off Speer Blvd.
LoDo became very popular when Coors Field was built, and everyone thought walking to the game was a benefit. There are many established LOFTS in this area ranging from $300,000 to over $2 million+. There are alot of one bedrooms units with two or three baths, and very open floorplans. Some buildings have been converted from apartments over the years, and have exposed brick walls with ceiling to floor windows! You can choose a location between Coors Field and the Pepsi Center, and be able to watch baseball, hockey, basketball and attend concerts at the Pepsi Center.
Downtown Denver has a lot to offer with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) with many current plays and musicals to choose from. There are many restaurants within walking distance, and even a state of the arts bowling alley on 16th Street. 16th Street is popular for the free shuttle to be able to enjoy most of downtown, and street vendors/musicians.
You do not have to give up your outside space, if you enjoy urban gardening, entertaining, or enjoying the great Denver weather and views.
Check out each Walk Score that is given to each listing! If you need more information about relocation, please contact me.
