Cabot AR housing market

As many of you know the market nation wide has slown down, but here in Cabot AR we are among the top in the state in sales. The Littlerock AFB has had a great impact on our sales in Cabot AR. I have seen on the news and on the web that many other markets are offering new tv's, pools, upgrades at no additional cost and are cutting the price from 10 to 50 percent off list price.   Home builders have been hit hard as rising mortgage delinquency rates have made lenders much more reluctant to issue new loans, causing home prices to fall and inventories of unsold homes to rise. In June, new-home sales had fallen more than 40% from their peak two years ago, and more than half a million new houses -- nearly eight months of supply -- sit in inventory, according to the most recent report from the National Association of Home Builders. Contract cancellations, meanwhile, have hit nearly 30% for some builders. Now with all that said the Cabot AR market has really been a  good place to invest or to move too and build your dream home.
