Monday Motivation - Someone Nailed Every Nail By Hand

Someone decided to build this barn. . . a long time ago.
The boards appear to be roughly sawn, the nails were driven with a hammer, not a nail gun.  Did the owners do it by themselves or did they have help?  I do not know.

Either way, it took a lot of arm swings, probably a few smashed fingers, and plenty of determination to get the job finished.
They must have done a good job because there it stands.

We've all seen similar structures in our areas and if you're like me, you've had the thought, "That used to be a new barn and someone was so proud of it when it was finished."

So have you started any new projects lately that look almost too big to finish?

Take heart.

Just like this barn that was built one board and one nail at a time, you can finish those daunting, almost bigger than life tasks...
one step at a time.

May you enjoy your week and by week's end be a little closer to the fulfilling goals that you have in your heart.

Perhaps that barn was raised as a result of the community sharing in the effort - sometimes those daunting tasks can be remedied .... by asking for help!

If someone did it alone, they did it one step at a thime, like any task well planned. We can accomplish almost anything.

"I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble."    ---- Helen Keller

I find that motivates me to knock off some of the many tedious task I face, like organizing my files and tidying up my desk!

Wish I had read this ON Monday.  I guess it's never too late to get motivated!  I might just have to print a picture of that barn to remind me to move forward!

I'll bet it was a family effort along with friends and neighbors. That's how it used to be done. Love the analogy, have a great week!
