I was so excited this morning. It was raining so that meant no morning walk. No, I haven't given up walking but that meant I could get an early start on ActiveRain. Writing today's blog; responding to comments; reading new posts and commenting on them. I was so busy yesterday I had a lot to do to catch up.
Laptop open.... screen on. Oops! The dreaded Proxy Error. How can that be?? They had it fixed months ago.
Maybe it's my laptop. Maybe it's not them; it's me! Restart the laptop. No, that wasn't it.
Whatever it was, I tried several times this morning but still no ActiveRain. I could call someone but we're 3 hours ahead of the west coast. Not a good thing to call Brad or Kerrie at 3 a.m.
"Hi, Brad. I can't get on ActiveRain. Oh, didn't realize it was so early. Go back to bed... and disregard the number on your Caller ID. Who? Oh this is hm-m 'Karen Anne Stone' " (don't tell her)
Finally the light bulb went off and I knew how I could find out if it was my laptop/server or ActiveRain. I got on Twitter and there it was:
Then Facebook:
Yep, it's ok. They'll have it fixed. No need to worry.
So, while I'm not a big Tweeter or Facebook fan, I am on it because social media gurus say I should be. And this is an instance when you can see where using Twitter or Facebook to send out mass alerts or notices can be of use.
Thank you ActiveRain for keeping us updated!
