Have you ever wanted something, knew what steps to take to get it, and encountered a roadblock? These roadblocks for many of us in this instant-gratification world are barriers to information. As it relates to real estate, we get paid for access and perseverance. In short if we let phone calls go to voicemail, put off emailing someone back quickly, business is lost forever.
If we can't get it quick, we move on to someone or something who will. Try to make it a priority to simply answer as many calls as possible. It's hard to understand why business people spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to advertise their business to not answer the inquiries. For bloggers and those with websites driving traffic to them not answering the phone is, well, stupid and insulting to potential clients. Some agents say they will provide a quick response time and then ignore it altogether. Putting your direct line or cell number is a better way to cut through all the red tape and provide people with direct access to solutions.
Agent's are in this industry to serve- not get back to people when it's convenient for them! When someone calls ANSWER IT then LISTEN to what they have to say. As Woody Allen once said, "Showing up is 80% of life." In other words, being omnipresent includes being in front of people. It may sound difficult, but it really isn't if you connect others to what you have to give.
