My boyfriend, Walt & I spent a great day celebrating his birthday on Sunday outside of Torreon up by Green's Peak. We took Forest Road 117A and a slow drive up the mountain. Couldn't have had better weather with a bit of Fall in the air. My old dog, Harley, loved the drive and getting out, rolling in the grass, and playing in the water at Canero Lake.
Just a few of the many reasons I love the White Mountains of AZ! As we were leaving we spotted an elk in the tree line, but a bit too far away to capture with my Canon camera.
