Recently I made my annual trip from Canon City to Breckenridge Colorado. Along the way I stopped and got some picture postcards.

To Joanne, thanks for sharing your town with me. You live in such a beautiful place.

To Kristal, Wish you were here. You would have taken a better picture of this bridge.

To Terry - Yer Flies Open. Is this an example of staging?

To Stephanie, when you need a quiet picture in your mind. This was near Hatsel. Usually there are buffalo all over .

To Ines, This library is the grandest building in sight. South Park is a colorful place.

To Carole, Is this an example of an Open house or what? Peace Out!

To Eloise, This is a wonderful artist shop. Saw Images of nature and thought of you.

To Donna, This old wagon reminds me of the "old west"

To janeAnne,  This shop and beautiful garden just reminded me of you.

To Chris, Meet Emmet! When I tried to get him to look at me he just wiggled and wagged his tail.

To George, Rocky Mt. sushi! This was the first year I didn't see fishermen in the river.

To Brian, Saw this and thought of you in San Diego. When the snow melts and rain falls half of it goes your way.

To Rich and to Ann, Fair is fair you two are always putting food into your posts. This place has great Mexican food and is always packed.

Marianna and Derek, Hope you have a great time in Texas.

To Renee, Jennifer and Colleen Hope you are having a great summer, and yes there is a "Real South Park"

What a great way to send a postcard Dena!  Thanks, I enjoyed our lunch together, and now my postcard too.  You were lucky getting such a nice day.  Aren't digital cameras nice to have?

Agreed lunch was great because of the company. The day was beautiful. And digitals are awesome.

Someday we'll tell stories about taking film to the drug store and waiting a week for pictures. And the young people listening to the story will not believe a word of it!

Heck yeah!  There is nothing better than being a ski dog!  They have the best life on the planet, I'm convinced of it.  Yo u never see a dog in CO. with a bad disposition!

These are great, Dena. I have driven through Colorado twice, going from Boston to LA and back, but didn't really take the opportunity to truly enjoy the beauty that is there because of the time schedule we were on. This was a real pleasure - thanks for sharing. I would love to get to the area and spend some time there...perhaps some day. :)

I hope you all get the change to visit the high country some time soon. It's truly beautiful!  Maybe we plan the first Active Rain national convention in Breckenridgel - it's the center of the country, kind of.
