The photos are spectacular! This is a GREAT localism post, Debra! Blessings from Riverside, TX.
Debra, Those are really Chamber of Commerce photos, just spectacular!
Fantastic photos, Debra! Are those Trumpeter Swans? When I lived in Barrow, there was a place the Trumpeters came every year.
Debra, It is wonderful when people come together and care about protecting the land for the generations to come. Your pictures are beautiful.
Thank you all so much for stopping by my site... this is such a beautiful area...all I have to do is take the picture...but the white birds are seagulls with a mix of sandhill cranes. Eagles, geese and shorebirds and all kinds of birds gather here... we do get Trumpeter Swans I uses to have the same 2 come every year to my yard and have their baby and move on... they mate for life..
KHLT is a great organiztion with dedicated people... they have done a remarkable job and we will all reap that reward for years to come! thanks
Hi Debra, Some beautiful photos. It would be great if you could capture some Trumpeter Swans. They are so graceful and beautiful to look at, though they can be quite noisy sometimes. I am impressed with the KHLT group and it is certainly evident of all the good they do.
I will try just for you Bill... but it may be next year now... darn it! thanks so much... KHLT is the best of the best!
My goal one day is to visit every state in the United States and I know that I will pretty much start in Alaska, my worry is that I may not want to leave! You have such a beautiful state that hasn't been ruined by well people!

Good Goal but you are right..once you come here you may not want to leave... it is beautiful... little tough on us sometimes but beautiful... thats why people cant ruin Alaska... Mother Nature rules... thank you so much for stopping by ... I really appreciate it!
