The community of White water CA aka Cabazon is about 20 minutes from downtown Palm Springs, Ca, and about 2 hours east of Los Angeles. The White Water area has seen a growth of activity, partly because homes in Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego County have become unaffordable for the average family.
Whitewater is at the neck of the Coachella Valley, and was originally called West Palm Springs Village. The original development had investors like Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, and Frank Sinatra. There was supposed to be over 500 lots of Commercial, a Drive-in, Polo Grounds, a Bowling Alley, and an Aquarium. Nice plans, but the original Investors went bankrupt, and for years there was only minimal interest in the area. That has changed recently, and you will see many new homes, and property values sky-rocketed.
Today the area of Whitewater has changed. Desert Hills Premium Outlets has over 100 stores and is only minutes away. Next door you will also find the Cabazon Outlets. These are destinations for many International visitors, and people from all over southern California come here for the high end stores.
The Morongo Casino Resort and Spa in Cabazon, Ca offers both entertainment and jobs. The Morongo Reservation has also recently opened a state-of-the-art Bowling Alley. Both of these are just 15 minutes from the property. Other activities are hiking, biking, off- roading, Art and Theatre, and you are only 2 hours to Los Angeles or the beach areas of San Diego.
Housing prices in this area for new homes run just below the 100,000 dollar to low 300's range. Homes in the area have great Mountain Views, some have a view of the Casino. You can sit outside and enjoy the fantastic views of the snow-capped San Jacinto Mountains, or sit in your living room and enjoy the view of the San Gorgonio Mountains.
If you would like to see any homes in the Area feel free to call us......if not, just enjoy the beautiful area. Winter time is beautiful out here, and summer time we are thankful for our air conditioners :)
