If you're tired of renting and are ready to take the next step to homeownership, there is help available for first-time homebuyers.

The City of Thornton and Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) provide first-time homebuyers interested in owning a home in Thornton, with opportunities for competitive fixed rate mortgages, down payment assistance, and tax credits.  A first-time homebuyer is someone who has not owned a home in the last three years. To qualify, you need to meet income and purchase price limits, complete a free homebuyer education course, have a minimum credit score of 580 and contribute $1,000 toward the purchase of the home.

Learn more about CHFA at www.chfainfo.com or call CHFA's Denver office at 800-877-2432.
