Tony and Darcy- I'm not a winter fan, but I an excited about fall. The Georgia National fair annually is one of my favorite things to do.
Jane- Anticipation
Jim- you must not have been stuck on HOT the past few months then.
Dorie- my mom in law out in San Diego misses it too. She grew up in ohio ( i think)
Tere- my husband, the leaf blower operator and raker, he doesn't like fall as much as me.
Carol- thanks
Aaron- we've just been in the low 90s the past few days and thankfully the evening nights and mornings are cooler now.
The foliage is one of the best parts of Autumn. I cant say I like the colder weather but it does provide some scenic photographs.
Living in the North East, I can really appreciate this picture. I'm sad to see summer go, but who doesn't love fall - it won't be long now.
Morgan- I'm not a fan of COLD either, but I sure do like cooler.
Kristine- I'm bidding summer a fond fairwell and inviting fall with open arms.
Tammy--I had to come back and leave a comment here, too. Fall is my favorite season. I would not have guess early November date. In my area (Lake Erie) it would October. By early November the trees are often bare or almost bare. I am ready for a mild winter, but since the hurricane season is active they are predicting cold & snowy. Maybe I will make another trip south...
Great colors in this photo, and it does have a 'cooling' feeling to it. I'm ready for fall temps!
Mary- if you get close to my neck of woods, stop by. And I sure hope we have a mile winter. Last year it was brutal.
John- I was trying to cool myself off with it yesterday. My A/C went on the blink and the repair man did get it fixed, but it took a long time for my house to cool back down.
Tammy--I will remember your invitation. Good luck with cooling the house down. My A/C is still running when usually it stops when the sun goes down because the house is cooled. Not the last few days. The weather forecast has been telling us that cooler temps are coming.
Mary- MY A/C has worked some serious overtime over the summer. It hit 60 here one night this week... I'm loving the cooler evenings, but I hope it's slow to actually get cold. I'd love a nice LONG fall season and a really mild winter.
Oh, Tammy. How beautiful. I miss the changing of the seasons so much. I haven't seen that happen since I moved back to California 25 years ago.
My mother-in-law says the same thing. I send her lots of photos. She's going at the end of the month to my sister-in-law's house in Minot, ND, so I'm sure she'll get a taste of fall this year.
Gosh that's pretty Tammy. I love the yellows, reds and oranges in the different varities of trees. There is a crispness in the air here that says fall is coming fast --- I'm not in any hurry because that means old man winter is following fast behind.
Tammy - yep we just saw our first signs of fall here in NJ today as well... wow how time flies....
This morning I got up and out early for a run and it was so nice and cool for a change! So nice after all the heat and humidity! :o)
Mary- I'm sure we still have some hot days. But I'm truly looking forward to giving my A/C a break for a day or two... it was getting really tired. But like you, I'm NOT at all ready for winter... I'd like fall to last until about January please.
Lisa and Robert- it does... And I have no idea where it went to either.
Ann- I know... finally my hair isn't frizzy.
Fall is knocking on our door, too. My husband is from the east coast and we differ on whether the reds and oranges or the gold is more beautiful. After seeing your photo, I'm going to consider giving in!
Oh Tammy, that is so pretty! I wish fall was around the corner in Phoenix...a few more weeks of this heat and then we will be happy!
Ruth- I'll just go with the mixture is beautiful LOL
SCA - thanks
Joshua- just an accident capture while walking my dogs.
Cheron and Michael- I hope fall lasts a while, I'm NOT ready for OLD MAN WINTER.
