The weather is going to be gorgeous this evening so it is the perfect night to head to downtown Greensboro, NC. Our monthly First Friday event from 6:00-9:00 showcases our many wonderful art galleries, shops and museums.
Tonight, enjoy free concerts in Center City Park while the children play in the fountains and enjoy free, hands-on activities. Meet artists at Greensboro Cultural Arts Center and other galleries that will be open plus become an artist yourself! Join in the Community Draw in the atrium of the Cultural Arts Center with illustrator Jim Young.
After strolling along Elm and the many side streets, you may want to enjoy a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants downtown. Julie Ann in my office swears by the St. Pita sandwich at Liberty Oak and the desserts at Cheesecake by Alex or Ganache. Natty Greene's is a great place to get our own local microbrews. You can't go wrong at any of these places!
