Colorado Ballooon Classic takes place this weekend.This is the last weekend for the Colorado State Fair at the Pueblo fairgrounds.  See last week's blog for more info.

If you are going to be in Colorado Springs this weekend, stop by the 34th annual Colorado Balloon Classic at Memorial Park off Pikes Peak Avenue between Hancock Ave. and Union Blvd near the shores of Prospect Lake.  Mass ascensions with over 100 balloons are scheduled for Saturday, Sunday and Monday (Sep 4-6) mornings with a Balloon Glo® scheduled for Saturday and Sunday evenings.  A variety of concessions will be available and entertainment is provided during each event.  Admission is FREE!  For event times and other info see: http://www.balloonclassic.com/.

Joetta, I'd call around and check.  Colorado Springs is (unfortunately) experiencing a downturn in tourism so you might be able to find something.
