North Carolina dodges a bullet.

We got lucky this time.  Hurricane earl brushed the coast of North Carolina, specifically, the Outer Banks.  There is some flooding, some beach erosion and strong waves with rip currents along the coast.  No lives were lost and no major damage was done.  We were lucky...this time.

If hurricanes aren't headed toward the gulf, they skirt the eastern seaboard most of the time.  Sometimes they veer inland and like this time they stay farther off the coast.  There were plenty of evacuations along the NC coast and many labor day vacations were ruined. But, better safe than sorry

It's still prime hurricane season, so we're not in the clear yet.  Hopefully, earl was the last big one of the season, but we'll keep a look out in North Carolina.

Glad to hear NC wasn't affected as bad as they could have been.  Hopefully everyone is safe and not much damage was suffered.
