Shade and dampness are mildew's two best friends.

And I was getting a little ashamed of the north side of the house.  It was amazing how fast the mildew grew once it got started.  I don't go on that side too often, so it had a good start when I saw it.  And that side of the house faces the neighbor's driveway.  They had a good look at it every time they drove in or out.

And as usual, I procrastinated on getting it done.  I mentioned to them that I had to call a guy.  And it turned into one of those "RoundToIts."  As in, I FINALLY got 'round to it.

What a difference a day makes!  I missed them when they arrived and didn't get to see them workng.  It was not a pressure wash, but a more of a garden hose level of pressure.  But the results are just great!

They even got all the window trims clean and the siding looks like it is spanking new!

John washes roofs, too, to remove black stain, and again, he does it with low water pressure.  We didn't have the roof done, because we are just a couple of years away from replacing it, but I have seen the results of that work too, and it also is great.

I didn't know if he would come down to Cary, but I am sure glad he did.

If I were your neighbor, I would have been over with rolls and coffee for the man cleaning that siding.  I love clean....and that does look so much better.

Suzanne,

I have good neighbors.  I told them I was going to deal with it before they noticed it, and then it took me a few weeks to call the guy.

It amazed me how fast the mold grew once it got started!
