I've been watching the MLS as new listings come on the market to see if agents paid attention to the new MLS upgrade that went into effect in August! I'm finding that agents are still putting up the same small images that they always have. Even the first image is preferrable to the last image which is fairly common in the MLS. I don't know if it's a lack of technical skills or if it's just bad equipment, but take a look at the three photos below and see what YOU would want for your home being shown on the internet!
The MLS change that affects the way properties are displayed on the internet is the increase in the resolution which has gone from 640x480 to 1024x768. This makes the photos that can now be uploaded almost 100% bigger! It's what buyers are looking for!
There is nothing more frustrating from a buyer's point of view than to click on the MLS thumbnail and get a photo that's even smaller than the thumbnail:
I'm sure you can see the difference between the various sizes and how that migh impact the viewing of the property on the MLS.
