It's been a little slower paced day here in the office today. And once in a while that's okay. It was a good thing today, as I like to respond back to those who comment on my posts, and I've been working hard on the 30 Blogs in 30 Days Challenge. I had a features today and yesterday on Active Rain (you guys are wonderful and really know how to make me feel great!), and keeping up with my responses actually took a little work today.
But in between posting those responses, and juggling e-mails, and updating a couple of CMA's for listings, I spent a little more time than usual on Active Rain and got to read a lot more of the wonderful posts from so many of you! It was kind of like walking through Candyland!
Candyland is this wonderful place we discovered as I brought my daughter to Marshall University in Huntington, WV, last year! It's located at Hilltop Fruit Market in Grantsville, Maryland, and became a "we've gotta stop here" place on each of the three trips we made out there!
It was aisles and aisles of over 900 of your favorite goodies, and lots of goodies you've never heard of before. All the old standards of course, and many things I hadn't seen since I was seven--like squirrel nuts and MaryJanes, and Neapolitan coconut candies, Boston Baked Beans and Root Beer barrels, and Pixie Stix! And don't forget those little wax bottles full of koolaid colored juice! Of course, I stocked up on some of my favorites, but had to sample a bunch of things I'd never tried before like Ginger Cuts and chocolate raspberry balls, and some Coffee Rio hard candies! Kind of like Active Rain: always stopping in on those favorites on my subscription list, and today I had the extra time to sample a bunch of new and wonderful treats! There was Good N Plenty for everyone, and for many of us, I'm sure there are a few PayDays!
So tonight I'm heading home, and I've filled my brain with a wide variety of real estate brain candy! Thankfully I don't have the over-indulgence stomachache that I would have had if I tried as many samples of the calorie-laden candies as I did of all of your informative and entertaining posts!
