Lake Placid Police Department presents:

Basic Self-Defense and Safetey Class

The Lake Placid Police Department is seeking interest from the public for a Basic Self-Defense course. The program would offer the opportunity for participants to receive information that may reduce their risk of exposure to violence. The program is designed to provide  attendees with information, tactics, and considerations, which are believed, may be useful for various typs of encounters. Basic Self-Defense will be offered in two phases, the basic course and a follow up more intensive course. At  this time the course is designed for women only.

Course Dates:  August 25 - 31 and September 22.
The times are 5:30 - 7:30 pm at the Lake Placid Town Hall Building.

The course is approximately 2 hours long. Instructors time is volunteered. The cost of the ocurse will be $15.00 and all proceeds will be going towards police equipment.
