HAMPTON BEACH CELEBRATES LABOR DAY WITH GREAT WEATHER

With Hurricane Earl come and gone on Friday just brushing the coast, Saturday brought sunny skies with temperatures in the 80's. The beach was busy but no where near packed, which was great for the people who did come to the beach for the day or the weekend.

I am sure the business owners would have liked to see more people, but the ones that did come to the beach, were well rewarded with great weather. The waves were no where near as big as last weekend where they were topping 10 feet, but the swell kept swimmers in shallow water. The sea walls were lined near high tide with people watching the waves splash over the sea walls. The surfers were out in masses. The water was the warmest it has been all year. Those walking the beach were rewarded with the Oceans bounty after a storm with loads of sea shells.

The restaurants had the welcome mat out and diners were rewarded with little to no lines. Sunday brings the promise of another beautiful sunny day, temps near 80 and fireworks tonight.

Another reason why New Hampshire is a great place to live, visit and play...

I have a high school friend who has a house on Lake Winnepesauke (spelling?) and I visited a few years ago - LOVE the weather up there!
