Colo Vista was once a private estate located in the pines a few miles outside of Bastrop Texas. The highlight of this Central Texas estate was it's 15,000 sq. ft. greek revival residence that had a 22 ft. ceiling, marble floors, and Waterford Crystal chandeliers.
Subdivided the residence and approx. 10 acres became a beautiful club house for the Colo Vista Golf Course. Lots were platted and sold along the course.
About a year ago the Golf Course operations shut down and the Clubhouse, golf course, and remaining undeveloped lots went on the market. The golf course is being maintained as a " green space" but no access or use.
The hope is that the country club will be purchased and reopened as it really is one of the best kept secrets in Central Texas.
Homes in the Colo Vista subdivision currently listed at this blog posting are available up in the pines or down in the lower plains and range from about 250,000 to 500,000.
If you would like to see one of the available properties please contact me. I do work as a Buyer Representative and although I am not a Colo Vista resident I am very familiar with it as I live just a few minutes away.
Very cool presentation! I love your background (with the horsehoes). I clicked on yoru post because I saw Bastrop and it reminded me of my time in Texas. I grew up there (and went to UT) and now live in New Jersey.... How's business there?
Thanks Caroline, I am staying busy selling farm and ranch and horse properties! It is a beautiful morning in Bastrop we are starting to get cooler weather, a sign that fall is on the way. How are things up in New Jersey?
So sad to see the devestation that the Bastrop Complex fire caused in Colo Vista. Many homes were lost. Now is a time for healing and Bastrop is buzzing with activity as many people have deciced to rebuild.
Deb blogs about the business of real estate, horse properties, new listings, farm and ranch life, life with horses, things to do, and places to go in, and around Bastrop County, and surrounding Counties near Austin Texas
