I am going with the #3, I don't think it is possible not to have seen it.

#1 is my choice.

And Jane- I really thought I was the only person who hasn't seen it.

OK, here goes folks. (No, Tammy, I won't make you wait...though hubby won't be happy about me being on here now :)

When I was 25 years old, I was working for the Correctional Service of Canada, a government department that runs all federal prisons across Canada as well as the parole offices that manage federal inmates who get out on parole.  I was working at National Headquarters in the research division, and I was in charge of organizing a conference for corrections researchers from across the country.  The conference took months of planning and was held in Kingston, Ontario, home of the Tragically Hip.  The conference was tough to organize because we were at absolute full capacity, and it was being held at two hotels, not one.

First day went off well, and we were letting loose a wee bit in the hotel bar when, at about midnight, my colleague/friend told me that one of the researchers at the conference knew somebody who knew somebody who was going to a party with the Hip there in Kingston.  Did we want to go?  My friend says, "Uhhh, yeah!"  I say, "Uhhh, no.  I can't go.  I have to be up in a few hours, and I've got a big day ahead of me."

Yup, that's right.  What a loser!  I didn't go, and I regret it to this day.

While still working in the research division, my boss received a letter from Clifford Olson, Canada's most notorious serial killer.  A few years earlier, I had met the parents of one of his victims and was unbelievably moved by their story and their strength and their efforts to change national police policy for how missing kids are investigated.  (At the time of their son's disappearance, when a teenager went missing it was assumed that they had run away and so the investigation was put on hold for 48 hours to see whether they turned up on their own.  After this case, things changed.)

The Correctional Service of Canada had a policy that all letters we received would be answered, and so it was my job to write a reply to him.  Handling the letter he had written and drafting a reply to him was surreal...and disgusting.

Which leaves #3.  Of course I've seen the Wizard of Oz!!  But not until I was a mother, and I only did it for my boys.  And I was really disappointed.  So much hype!  Such high expectations!  A rite of passage maybe, but not much more for me :)

Jane: Stop kicking yourself. #1 was true (I DID turn down that invitation), as was #2 (I DID write that letter).  Even if you had voted, you would have been wrong LOL.

I have never seen the movie, The Wizard of Oz.

I HAVE seen the movie, which means #3 is a lie (because it says I've never seen it).  I waited until I was a mom to do so, but better late than never  :)

WOO HOO, I'm two for two in September. Back on my game after I was a no show in August. LOL
