Steve,

Lovely pictures, and it is so nice that this park has been maintained since the 1920's.  We all need that place or those places of loveliness and freedom to reconnect with nature, and remember our essence.  A

Alexandra,

Your comments are right on target.  That is exactly what we experienced, as we gathered, with three of our four sons at the park this weekend.

Looks like a great place to hang out for Labor Day!  We had a couple of state parks back in Nebraska that mirrored the beauty and your post took me back to my childhood for a minute in time!

Renee,

Chico has such a historically rich culture. So many homes and parks were created early in the last century and are well preserved to this day.  When I took a walk with one of our sons I mentioned how it reminded me of growing up as well.

What a beautiful setting, certainly not what I have always envisioned of Chico.

Jim,

Chico's beautiful has quite an impact on it's residents as well. It's a bit remarkable the number of students that come to Chico State, graduate and then never leave.  Chico has alot to offer in culture, recreation and lifestyle.
