Another good point about attending conferences, is, you do walk, a lot! I had to tighten up muscles that I didn't even know I had. You drink the needed water, for me, just to help me keep going! You are walking and talking, because even if you start off on your own, with five thousand people at MasterMind in San Diego, you ended up walking with someone. There were free shuttle buses that you could utilize. I remember that one year, when both of my daughters came with me, we used the shuttle to get to and from the Seaport Village. Handy and safe! Last year and this year, I stayed at the Hyatt Downtown. They offer a gym, it was one door away from my room. Didn't really want to be indoors, the weather was just so beautiful, not a cloud in the sky. When you walk out of there back entrance, you are at the Seaport Village. However, that is walking and walking, too. The downside was that there were two Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Stores, and boy, I do love ice cream. I was good and I did not go in:) Thought about it, though! A few times. I just felt so good after all the walking, and swimming in the pool, that I just held on. The air smells of the ocean, all the boats are so beautiful, the landscape is unbelievable. Their are local artists that are painting during the daylight hours and musicians play in the courtyards. Really a nice place to relax. Love San Diego! What good places have you found while at a conference?
