I am reblogging Michelles post, even though I barely understand it.

I do get this:

Active Rain is good.

Why? I don't really know. Something to do with organic, and I know organic is good. Anything in the grocery store that is organic is good, right? So organic is good, AR is organic, so AR is good...

The internet is loaded with amazing tools to help you grow your real estate business.  ActiveRain is a major player in that list.  Don't think so?  Think again!

Here is a chart that was generated by SEORush that shows the amount of search engine activity that ActiveRain generates per month:

Search Engine Traffic Report for Active Rain July 2010

Here's a breakdown of what the chart means:

First of all, know that Alexa.com ranks this site as #1,601 (that is the ranking for all sites in the USA, with #1 being the highest, which is Google).  Here is the description that Alexa gives for it's ranking:

Semrush.com's three-month global Alexa traffic rank is 1,601. The site is particularly highly ranked in the city of Phoenix (#651), and approximately 15% of visits to the site are referred by search engines. Roughly 38% of visits to the site are bounces (one pageview only). Visitors to Semrush.com spend about four minutes per visit to the site and 52 seconds per pageview.

With there being millions of websites out there, any site that ranks less than 100k is getting some major traffic.

Now let's look at the "Google SE traffic" number - 231,000.  This is the number of visitors coming from the first 20 search results in Google - PER MONTH.

The SE Traffic Price shows that in order for someone to receive the same amount of traffic, through advertising on AdWords would be $133k. Interestingly enough, though, there are NO AdWord campaigns for Active Rain. The site receives its rankings from totally ORGANIC traffic, which is generated by the members of Active Rain.

So what does this all mean for YOU?  It means that you as an ActiveRain member can benefit tremendously from the amount of activity that AR receives, thanks to all its members.  Wouldn't you like to be in front of the 231,000+ visitors per month?

Come play in the Rain!!

This is a good series.  I love activerain and I love organic.  Lots of work but very fun and so many nice people to interact with.  Thanks again, Phil.
