So here we are, almost halfway to that special date when my head gets a trimming. Its been quite an experience so far and i can't wait to ride this out and see what else pops up, whether its a thought in my head or an opportunity or experience in real life.

why such a Smiley face? Help others without expecting someting in return and find out. Some things can be explained and others you just have to feel to understand. I can tell you what its like to surf a 6 foot wave, but it won't compare at all to you experiencing it first hand. ok, maybe something you folks can relate to a little better....

...you have a child and your love for that child is all encompassing and it has no end. Your love can extend from one end of this universe to another.. and it will be clear to you. I may think i understand, by relating to the love for my parents or my dog,. but do i really feel what you're feeling.? Now you can tell me about this deepness of love and explain it until you're blue in the face, and the day I have a child it will become clear.. almost instantly.

So getting back on track.. this experience is great for the families and the organization. There is no doubt about that. Nothing makes me happier to hear that they are benefiting from this fundraiser. To give without expecting anything in return in a big thing. You have to give to experience it.. i just can transmit the feeling through words on this blog.. or in person.

So here is the bonus out of all this... Feelings, emotions and thoughts that I had not experienced before, the perspective has changed. Yes, a shift in perspective because of the experience. I've always been grateful, as my first post on AR shows. I've always have compassion for others, without a desire to hurt anyone. But now the experience has taught me something.. well a few things. And i'm sure it will teach me more things as the date approaches, as the hair comes out and then as i'm walking around with a new look. Other people's reactions, my ego and other factors will influence my thinking and cause me to grow, as situations arise.

So it seems that this is a WIN, WIN, WIN, WIN WIN for the families.. first and foremost. WIN for the non-profit agency helping these families. WIN for the people who donated and got that love buzz.. and WIN for me, as little Nicky grows a bit more (figuratively speaking of course;)

Look at these posts below that the AR members have written.. it shows how much they care and want to help.
There has got to be something in there.. and there is.. the feeling of giving, helping and doing something good or great for another human being without expecting something in return.

aahhh... gotta love it!  but you gotta DO it to experience it..!!!  You can find a way to give if you really want to!

Maybe you should have two fund raisers:

1 to keep your hair, the other to shave it.  Which ever raises the most cash wins.

So, do you have a pretty scalp or boo-boo scars?

Chris.. you should be head of my marketing department. Tell you the truth.. i'm ready to cut tomorrow!! but that is a great idea!!!  how can we make it look like the 'keep my hair' raised more cash!! haha :)

uhm..let's say not too pretty when its cut down low. I'm thinking i'll get a tan right before so it looks extra white!!

I'm just the muse, sweet cheeks.  I come up with the ideas, somebody else does the heavy lifting.  LOL

Sweet cheeks?  The kind to pinch? Anyway, I know this is for a good cause...not just the hair shave mind you. The helping the children who are the innocent ones. They need all the help for a start in the first hours, days, weeks, months and years of their life. The little gifts will take them a long way. The training the mothers will receive valuable to sustain the children through their early years in life. Wow. That was pretty deep.

Chris, that's weird.. because i have ideas and always end up doing the heavy lifting.!
forget i said that. i see your point.

Sally, wow that was deep.! i'll confess to thinking that, but somehow its not there when its time to write. you're good, you. so YES,. that extra cash goes to help now in the beginning makes all the difference down the road. so what does the hair matter..? :)

Nick, I expect that head of yours to be so clean shaved, that I will be able to see my reflection off the top so clear that I will be able to use it to comb my HAIR :)

Nick, LOVE the new picture!!  And Chris' idea for the dueling fund raisers is simply brilliant!!  I've almost decided I'll have to clear everything I ever do through Chris before I do it, just to make sure it's the best way.

I vote for you to keep your hair.  ;o)  I like it.

Fran, dip, dip, dip into those pockets :)) thanks for your dip!!

Big BB.. thanks for the push and the contribution!! gotta love Bryant, er uh Bertha, er whomever you are! :))  i can't go that low on the shave, due to the topography of the scalp.. but i'm still going to make a Jeff Turner pic and put it on my profile. i'm still joining the club!!

RInes, that is a fantastic picture!! i think that actor looks great in that polka-dot shirt!! maybe i should break out some of my old pics when i was shaven and try to pass them as the shave next month :))

Hi Ruth.. thanks so much for your comment. :)) it's easy to be like that when your surrounded with great people like yourself and Jim. i like the new pic because that over size shirt makes me look even skinnier!! :))

Hi George.. funny.. still pushing for the shave i see! i'll send you a mirror buddy :))

Hey Sarah.. thanks :) i figured that i earned it, or at least will earn the right to wear the shirt. Chris' idea is great, but be careful to run EVERYTHING through her.. that could be dangerous!!   voting to keep my hair..(thanks!) but who will donate then? i'm ready to cut it today!

Chris.. hhhmm.. the largest donation gets to choose? i could do a blue mohawk! ;)

Diane.. thanks for your comment and support. You're a special lady. We'll be talkig soon :))  thanks for your excitement level. believe me.. it helps! :)

RInes, that i wouldn't like that!? naw.. i LOVE it. i know you're gonna have some great ideas.

hey folks.. i tried to trim up this fuzz on my chin and my shaver/clippers kicked the bucket. wouldn't ya figure. now i gotta go buy clippers!!!  SO Ines, what did you have in mind.

so far, from this and other posts.. i have requests for a pink mohawk, a line-green mohawk and a blue mohawk. What is it with mohawks? i read Purple-cow, but would someone buy a house from me with a mohawk?

Feel free to lend all the support you can! We could use guest writers on the blog. I'm running out of things to write, at this time. :))

FYI (to all) please, never use my last name in anything you write, especially AR. I am only known here as 'nick the appraiser' or 'nick m'.  THANKS!! :))
