Carroll County, Arkansas is a quiet place. I may have mentioned that. Recently I gained a new perspective on just how quiet it is.
Comprised of 630 square miles, with 6.5 of those square miles covered with water. Carroll County is indeed sparsely populated. There are just 44 people per square mile on average here.
Eureka Springs and Holiday Island are in the western part of the county. Eureka Springs has essentially the population of a large apartment complex. There are 2600 folks here. Holiday Island is a planned golf and retirement community on Table Rock Lake. Approximately 2300 folks call Holiday Island's 4500 acres home.
We host approximately 1,000,000 visitors a year so we have a few things for you to do. However, at times quiet can be beautiful
