Using the corner of the real estate buyer for Maine listings eye, to provide a slow drip of imagery surrounding the area the properties are scattered, planted in.

traffic lights Do you do it? As you read this blog post, on the right do you see a slow show of images, photos, pictures being rotated softly in to the right hand corner of your field of vision? Is this multi tasking the buyer for real estate in your area by providing a sense of what the location looks like, feels like? For comparasion sake to where they live now.

The buyer for real estate is not just two blocks away any more. Or sat five rows in front of you at elementary school. You did not date his sister briefly. And the chances he was going to be your brother in law at some point never remotely showed up on matchmaking radar as a possibilty at all.

He or she on line holding that mouse nervously but with a build up degree of excitement is scoping out your listings. Reading your blogs, watching your videos on property and the community. But like background music, the images you plant to broadcast like small translator transmitter to boost a signal of the community, you set up shop with the 1200+ Flickr photostream to "play" in the background. Not loud, not obtrusive, but gently at low level creating another stream of media in a smaller, tucked to the side piece of the monitor's real estate page space.

For the person that is considering your area of Maine and slew of others, this IV of imagery helps make him get the horse sense of what your area is like.

A place, region, set of communities he knows nothing about but may have been transfered to, considering a relocation, retirement to in the future. If you use this region, it is like adding more than full motion video with show and tell. It is liking adding smell that comes out his twin monitor tweeters with the bass woofer tucked between his feet. He starts to get a smell, a sense of the flavor, how the place you peddle Maine properties in is salt and maine canoe river paddlerspeppered, seasoned.

The terrain, the occupations, the customs, the people, weather, the recreational options. How crowded your area is or is not comes thru loud and clear in a subtle low key way with just a steady beat of one after the other images. The spacing, density of folks per square inch, mile, township becomes apparent.

All four seasons represented. All without words, just a march in time series of images, photos, pictures.

Maine, you are definitely not you when you are not here. Start dreaming in blue and green. Come see the Maine four season unspoiled scenery, friendly people, low cost properties and wildlife infested woods, lakes, streams and rivers.

Andy, I always feel like if we pay enough attention to everything you provide, we almost wouldn't need to go there to know exactly what we were getting!  You've got a wonderful area to promote!

I am lucky in low cost real estate, friendly but way way fewer people, 4th best crime state and all these media streams from blogs, video, podcasts, websites to hitch a ride, tell the tale, promotes the properties, area. Media...make sure your kids take some media, business classes. Information is the powerful force, not industrial, not agricultural any more.
