Sounds like a great race for an awesome cause!
HI Jeremy - it really is amazing and awe inspiring. It is a very organized event, and hope it raises lots of money to cure this disease!
Sharon, A great post! A Great Cause, Thank You for helping!
Hi John - thanks for stopping by - it really is for a great cause.
Such a worthwhile cause to put forth effort to help with.
Hi Judi - yes it is and it is amazing to see how many are impacted by this disease. And its not just women either, a friend's father just got diagnosed with it. I remember last year at this event, there was an 11 year old girl who got diagnosed with it too.
I wish you good luck in your race! It's a good cause!
HI Georgina - thanks much. I have actually been running so I can do well. And we are actively trying to raise money for the cause.
Interesting that we're here in California, but the choices for salutations of the donors don't include Mr. & Mr. or Ms. & Ms.
I'll have Russel stop by and donate on our behalf. He has the credit cards with the big balances on them. LOL
I love this cause. My daughter recently had her 15th birthday party and decided to advertise on Facebook and to her classmates that she was having a birthday party at a local rollerskating rink and that all money donated would go to the Fund. She had everyone wear pink that was going to show up, asked for donations only, no gifts, and even dyed her hair pink! It was a LOT of fun. The only downside was that Race for the Cure never acknowledged her donation.
Sharon, wish you a lot of success and hope you raise lots of money for the cure. Let us know how much you raised.
Sharon, what a great cause and so good of you to be part of it all. Sounds like it's very successful. We like turning things pink, I love Cara's story of her daughter. That is service of heart and so is your effort!
Sharon, a good cause to run for! Best of success in the raising of funds and lots of fun in the run!
Hi Jim - thanks for stopping by and the re-blog - so appreciated!
Hi Cara - so nice that your daughter decided to raise money for the cause - perhaps an email to the organization will help them acknowledge it.
Hi Endre - we are well with our fund raising. I am so proud of our team. we have 30 members and have raised about $2300 right now. We have two more weeks, and I must say I cannot believe the support of my friends!
Hi Jeanean - I ran in it last year my first time and it was incredible. There were 30,000 + people in Newport and everyone wears pink, and supports the cause.
