Alex, if we listen to the news media, no one is selling houses, everybody is going into foreclosure, and all the Mortgage Companies are going out of business, because they can't write any more loans.

I am sure glad I do not listen to their doom and gloom predictions, because my business is up from the last two years.

I just did a similar post for my area today also - take a peak at it.  Great Minds Think Alike!   Let's hope the media will start "Calling all Buyers to Market"

Alex,

That is totally encouraging news, for once. The media has been filling the headlines with negative news for way too long, so now that we have some good news, let's hope the tide is turning for good. Yes, some corrections are needed in the marketplace, but they don't have to repeat the same story week after week.

Vicki....

I am happy for you, lady...go for it!!

Esko....

The media does that to sell papers and get people to listen to the evening news...sensationalism is where they are at... it is not always about the truth for them.. but how they can spin things....

Christine.....

I hope they do, BUT remember we in the real estate field would ALL make more money then the average reporter...so they might NOT..... hehehehe

Diane....

Did I say that my post was a prediction???         Nope...

I am just reporting on what is happening out there...these are factual statistics as of July 2007. I hope real estate professionals will take this good news to heart.

George....

Do ya think that your increase in business is partly because of your excellent blog?? I think so!!  =-)

Paula....

It's not a spin....it is the facts, lady...just the facts....... hehehehe  =-)

Juile....

I am happy for you...educate them out there lady, and have fun doing it!!

Mike....

Gee, thanks!!  =-D

Susan.....

I got this from the media.... BUT don't tell anyone......hehehehehe
They (the media) do not trumpet good news too well.....

Alexander - I applaud your enthusiasm and positive outlook, but at a meeting on Thursday (23rd) our area had over 7,000 homes on the market and over 3,000 are vacant.  That's not a good thing.  (Our metropolitan population is slightly below 300,000)

If you have an overflow of buyers, please send them here.  We have some wonderful opportunities for homeownership and the people are just great - if I do say so myself!  :)

Alexander,

Great information to share and learn, you have a positivism and that's good, as I have written before, when it is bad for someone it is good for other person, depends where you are standing.

Ray....

Truth is truth... you just have to know what to do with it.....

Carol....

Ohio is in the midwest or near the northeast where home sales were DOWN....and I am so sorry for that.. Keep at it, lady!

Lisa.....

I got the information in the news online; I look every day or so for current local or national real estate news. Have fun looking!

Arnia....

Hopefully the midwest, south and northeast will catch up with the west... that would be nice, hmm? =-)

My sistah Diane.....

Yes, rejoice in the Lord always...again I say rejoice!!  \O/

Put on the full armor of God.....

Its very refreshing to see someone reporting on what is really going on in the real estate market! It's not all doom & gloom like the media makes it out to be.  There are a lot of great opportunities out there right now!

Alexander, The midwest sales were down but prices actually went up .5%. The market times have also increased. The major difference ifs in the new construction. The builders are way off. The preexisitng is fairing much better. Thank you for a ray of sunshine from the sunshine state.

Great to hear Alex, (now if someone would tell that knucklehead on CNN who reported you need a credit score of 10,000 to even get a loan to get his facts straight, that would help the public's perception of the market!)

Diane.....

I am glad for you!! Pittsburgh has a great agent over there -- YOU!!

Vicky....

Lots of real estate professionals have said the same thing as you just did and I am going to restate what I said before... the media thrives on sensationalism....AND the average real estate agent makes MORE than the average reporter...so they MIGHT NOT tell the public.... GREED and EGO is a dangerous combination..

Bonny....

I agree wholeheartedly!! The opportunities are out there, you just have to find them!!

Bill & Barb.....

WTG!! Go get em!! =-)

Randy....

Nice reporting on Midwest prices and market times.... stay with it, things will change!! Keep selling those resales!!

Debbie....

See my comment to Vicky....my fingers are tired...hehehehehe
