HEY -- You're a new real estate agent and youre excited!

You get your first website and then you want to take on the world. SEO, blog marketing - they all sound great. Then you think about getting some big search engine exposure... you got a couple of grand in your pocket for advertising and then you see it.....

Yahoo -- indexes your web pages.... $299 each ! Wow... what a deal... instant streed cred.....
Sure, on one hand you can afford it - but then.... you stop and think about it.

What other options do you have?

$299 a page may not be such a bargain after all.

WHAT TO DO?

I have been here. There was a time when I actually thought about it. I thought about it hard. I thought maybe i would shell out a few bucks and get my web pages indexed. $299 per page seemed hefty but at the time I was desperate.

But I learned something. If you do proper SEO for your site a couple of interesting things happen. The search engines will find you and here is how they roll in.....

1. Yahoo is always first.
2. Bing / MSN is always second
3. Google always rolls in last......

Yahoo will actually index more pages than Google. Time and time again this is how it has rolled in for me. I can almost count on it.

When you put something like this together consider your blogs and where you place them. I hate Typepad, I used to use it a few years ago but since then I have had to stick with things that worked. Every market you try to pop up in moves different depending on factors like population, employment and the cycle its in.

But the bottom line here is you do not have to pay for individual listings for pages - if you are optimized correctly.
