Another REal Lesson Learned

One morning this week I was really frustrated with myself. I didn't seem to be accomplishing anything. So, I decided to heck with it. I packed up and set up to get out and about. But before I left for my "break" I remembered that a certain gentleman who worked at the LB Harbor had asked some questions about lots. So I decided to print him off some current MLS stats to drop by. My new business cards are not in yet, so I decided to whip up a cover sheet that could also be used for fliers.

This flier looks a lot better in print:-)

I always get permission to use photos. Most of the people I run into at the harbor have seen me around, alot. That is often where I walk, because I love it. The Harbor folk are used to me taking photos. Usually I show them how the photo looks in my camera, but most people have not yet seen the photos in use.

The highest compliment came from the gentleman on the far right. Looking into his face he appeared to be visibly touched when he told me, "You've caught the essence of Long Beach. Can I have one of these?" That comment was enough to get me back on track. Then another Harbor regular said, "My son is moving here soon; I'm trying to find a place....can you help me out?

From the beginning I have declared God to be the Broker in charge. Sometimes I forget that myself. Its only when I get frustrated enough to get out of my way that things seem to start happening.

What did I learn here? Take more breaks. Enjoy my community. Distribute more area specific fliers. This flier can be easily modified for subdivsion, town, etc.

very nice.  the only catch if there actually has to be something nice to look at! :)  Isn't always the case everywhere you go...

Question though - does it say "I am yet to be mobile" or I am misreading it (it's hard to read on my screen)?  Is that a typo, since you go on to talk about your mobility?

Well done!  (and from the lawyer's perspective, good job on always getting permission to use the photos!).  :)

Tarina, I read your profile and added you as an associate. I wish you success! The tougher part about working from home is you truly have to build your business. No walk in traffic! My best tip for a newbie working from home is to be visibly a REALTOR when you go out.  There is something special about everyplace in the world. With your background, I know you will find it. If you run out of community at play ideas, ask some local businesses if they would like to be on your flier. Of course they may want you to leave a few with them! Mabe develop a special route of the locations on your flier to drop by a few copies of the most recent MLS movement on a weekly basis. "I am SET:-)". (Yes, I do use safety precautions...)

Jason, I can't figure it exactly what you are doing. REALTOR Friend or Foe? Thank you for the compliment. I can see you have a high degree of expertise yourself.
