The saying goes, "If you don't like the weather in Texas, wait a minute and it will change." Well, Tropical Storm/Tropical Depression Hermine has flown in the face of convention and given Central Texas two solid days of heavy rains. Homes have washed away (Granger), trees uprooted and washed downstream (every body of water) and streams and rivers have washed out roads and even crested Interstate 35. Here's a little Wordless Wednesday of Hermine's wrath and beauty:
Before the storm - Lake Waco Highway 6 Bridge
The Pedernales River in Johnson City under Highway 281
Double Horn Creek under Highway 71 between Spicewood and Marble Falls
One of countless rainbows I saw today! This one is off Interstate 35 near Salado.
If you know your Texas geography, you can see I made a world tour today! I'll share some more tomorrow once I get them off my Blackberry. Have a great night!
