Wordless Wednesday

It's been a long day and a long week, so it's only appropriate that I take a moment off and enjoy the beauty around me. Over in one of the condominium communities that I farm, there are a lot of streams, ponds, and actual lakes, and they are prime spots for watching the birds, such as this mommy duckie teaching her curious little duckies to just go for it! The water was just on the other side of the walkway. Perhaps we can learn something here?

Nice pics. Of the ducks and the cat. This is cute. I agree with Amanda...don't be afraid to take that leap and go for it.

Jim we have such fun watching the mom's and dad's getting their little ones to 'take off' in our phoenix desert.  I must tell you about our alcove bird nests sometime soon - we had no idea they were there until Easter morning one year......very cool story!  I loved these pics!!!!!

Jim ~ glad you took some time for yourself.  These photos are priceless...especially the one little bird trying to sort of slide down rather than jump... Too cute!

If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, its a duck!  It has been a trying week here around activerain and there are lots of people who are on edge.  Hopefully things start looking ducky soon.

Yes, being brave and taking that leap into the unknown can be scary, but oh so rewarding.  It looks like these little ones have a good teacher and leader.

Hi Jim, what cute ducks.  I post duck pictures quite often, but no one seems to get tired of them.

Jim those little duckies look just their Canadian kin up our way.  Is that Russel's camera you are using?  Does he know?

Thanks to everyone for stopping by and commenting. Comments are greatly appreciated!

I'm trying to follow up on these older posts like this one to see if anyone had any questions or if I really need to respond to anyone's comments.

I will read all the comments and respond to any that need a response, but rather than making comments here in my post to each and every one of you, I'll just let everyone know that I have read all the comments and if there are any questions, I'll answer those in comments below this one. Otherwise I'll simply post this comment and then head over to your blogs soon to visit and do some reading and commenting. I hope you'll have a nice welcome mat out for me!

Don't forget to let your cat come out to play with all the other ActiveRain kitties. Your cat-friendly dogs can come, too! At the end of the 2010, which is the Chinese Year of the Tiger, I'm going to put together a slide show or an eBook of all the ActiveRain kitties. If you see any stray cats roaming around ActiveRain, gather them up and bring them over to our forever home right here! The more the merrier!

Also, if you need a great cat book, get yourself a copy of Peg Silloway's The Cat Lover's Book of Days. It has great pictures and cat trivia, and you can use it year after year since it only has dates but not years.

Best wishes to everyone for a great Fall!
