As I've said plenty times before, I want to remind you that Short Sales do close. When you are being told or you hear that not many Short Sales close you need to simply plug your ears and talk to somebody who will tell you another story:
SHORT SALES DO CLOSE.
Those who list Short Sales and are good at their chosen profession; that of helping others avoid foreclosure by listing and closing Short Sales will tell you hands down that they can and with great frequency get Short Sales approved and closed. When you hear the stories of Short Sales not closing, this is due to either a lack of experience on the Agent's part or lack of passion in helping others. It's very simple.
If you have a plan and a trusted Realtor to be on your side, Short Sales can happen with great frequency. In fact, my Short Sale closing ratio is at roughly 98% and I've been doing them for several years. Remember it's not about listing Short Sales but it's about getting them to the closing table as that is the only way that you as a distressed seller here in South Florida will avoid foreclosure. Ask the Realtor that you're considering hiring how many Short Sales that they've closed not how many that they've listed. I've noticed many a Short Sale listings that have been put on the market by a Agent and forgotten about. Tell me how this is helping the distressed homeowner?
With this in mind, do not lose hope and think that you're only option is to walk away from your home - WRONG. Short Sales close if you have the right person on your side. In fact, I just recently saved homeowners from foreclosure in Coral Springs, Margate and Plantation and have many more that I'm fighting for. If you've got questions for me, call me...I"d be glad to help you.
