Paorama of the Stockton arena befor a show.

Located just blocks from Highway 5 on the North side of the waterfront, The Stockton arena is helping to put Stockton on the map as a vital California city.

With concerts, kids, and teen shows worked in with Indoor football, soccer, and hockey
This venue is a great feather in the city’s cap. All of the 10,000 plus seats have good views of the floor. Concessions stands abound. The Comcast lounge with mouth-watering food and quenching drinks, premium and box seats are available for people with the desire for a more high style event. The stunning four sided big screen and scoreboard, over center court, is run by a state of the art real time digital editing booth, manned by a top notch crew, so even if you missed the play you will get the best views in replay. The sound system is also state of the art and does a good job of sound reinforcement, especially for a sports arena.

With fresh modern lines and catchy artwork like the multi-colored panel on the side of the parking structure, made up of thousands of toy cars, the arena has a nice new up-to date feel, without being to big and cold.

After a rocky and expensive start, getting Neil Diamond to play the arena’s first show, arguably too soon after he had played two other venues nearby in the presiding six months, and his production having to pull everything together for one show as opposed to a stop on a current tour, the venue and its management team IFG are doing a great job.

Upcoming are events like September 13th -16th Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey Circus, The California Cougars, Stockton’s own pro soccer team challenging the Stars of Mexico in a great exhibition match (on September 29th). Last season this was one of the best played games of the season, with a strong win by Stockton), Lots of good fast hockey and even Gwen Stefani on November 1st this looks to be a wonderful season in Stockton.

If you are nearby and have not dropped in for a game or a show you really should. The Stockton arena is quite a nice spot and you will enjoy it.
