JESUS CHRIST: the ultimate revelation.

Jesus Christ is perfect theology. He is the "exact representation of His nature," (Hebrews 1:3) the ultimate  portrayal of the Father. Questions that exist about God's nature in the Old Testament were clarified in the New Testament. When I teach on God's absolute desire and provision to heal, I am asked, "what about Job?? I respond, "I'm not a disciple of Job, I'm a disciple of Jesus." Job's life helped create the awareness for the need of a savior. Job is the question. Jesus is the answer. If our study of Job (and other Old Testament issues) doesn't lead us to Jesus as the answer, it reveals we never really understood the question. The types and symbols of the Old Testament do not override the clear manifestation of God through Jesus in the New Testament. Any understanding we have about the nature of God that can't be seen in the person of Jesus, must be questioned.

I received the latest Bill Johnson newsletter and I was reminded of something someone just said to me this past weekend... "What about Job?" The one thing Bill didn't address in his awesome reply to that question is the fact that Job did indeed sin which left the door of possiblity to Satan entering and causing all his trials and tribulations. He feared. When we fear something, we are not trusting God with all our hearts, minds, souls and all our strengths. We have opened a door. So in Chapter 1 it says Job was a blameless man, a man leading a sinless life. So which is it? Yes. Both. We are sinless in His eyes when we are in constant touch with His Spirit. When we are constantly in a humble place of knowing our need for Him. That's where Bill's comment about Job was simply a study of our need for Jesus as our answer.

SO MY POINT TODAY... Do not fear. In our area there are 1,100 agents. In July, 289 homes sold and settled. Only 90 agents were involved in any of those. Trust in GOD to provide for you. Those whose hope is in the Lord will never be put to shame. God is still on the throne, He is still in charge and He knows what He is doing... and, He's still in a good mood.

I love your ending sentence.

"God is still on the throne, He is still in charge and He knows what He is doing... and, He's still in a good mood."

I'm from the Detroit area, where the economy has been taking a standing eight count for the last several years. That last phrase, "and He's still in a good mood" really lifted my spirit.

...and He loves and adores you Jason! I thought your picture looked familiar. The other day God was just showing me His wallet photos of all His children doing great things, I'm pretty sure I saw your photo in that long unfolding picture billfold. Thanks for reading and be Blessed. You're the light that Detroit needs... and maybe the Lions can win a few games to lift you up this year too! Just don't beat my Packers please.

Job was pretty special to God yet he sinned. Maybe there is hope for us yet?

Thanks, Bob!

On a different note, I wouldn't worry about your Packers. The Lions might take 5 this year, but maybe 2 in the NFC North... against the Bears.

They have our former 0-16 head coach as their new Defensive Coordinator.

Couldn't agree more.  God keeps His promises and provides.  He knows what we need, and He knows best how to provide.  We simply need to trust in Him.
