Here's a fact......did you know that only 5% of the worlds population lives in the U.S., but the U.S. generates 40% of the world's waste!  That's sad or I should say, that's a crime!

Most things can either be recycled, reused or donated.  There are recycling stations for just about everything now a days.  Check you local recycling centers nearest to you.  Everything from paper, plastic, aluminum, batteries, electronics has a way to be recycled.  It's up to us to make sure it gets to the right place.

I'm with you on this one! We hardly have any garbage and the end of the week, almost everything is recycled or composted. I had to see garbage alongside our roads and rivers. What are people thinking!!!

It's scary to think about what this place will look like 100, 50, even 25 years from now.

Every year when my kids do their science fair project someone does something in the field of recycling or the amount we (especially Americans) consume. Talk about scary!

Every little bit helps!

OMG.....my family teases me when we have people over, because I have different cans for everything.  I am the recycling queen.  We have two 90-gallon recycling barrels for pickup every other week.  What I don't get is why they only pick up the recyclbles every OTHER week.  Mine are full each week.  Great reminder

I try to recycle everything I can, but could do better with a little more effort.
