This blog is about Cobble Creek Golf Course in Montrose.
Located just a few minutes drive South West of downtown. Cobble Creek is set on 530 Acres at an elevation of 5,800 ft with outstanding views of the San Juan Mountain Range from all corners of this property. The course measures 6,982 yards from the back tees and is a Par 72. The course is open to the public. There are 5 Par threes, 8 Par fours and 5 Par fives.
The clubhouse was just opened in the Spring of 2009 and was designed by local Architect Patrik Davis. There is a complete fitness center and members only area. The upper floor has an outside patio for viewing the mountains. The Clubhouse can be rented out for weddings and functions etc. Cost to play the course is very reasonable. At the time of this article the rates are Weekday for 9 holes $24 for 18 holes $41..on the weekends the cost is just $3 more per roundl. To add a cart it is $8 for 9 or $13 for 18 holes.
There are still many lots to choose from both re-sale and developer owned. Lot prices start at $50,000. Lots are available on both the golf course and lots that do not back up to the course. Homes start in the low to mid $200's and go up to the $700's. There are Patio homes available both re-sale and new builds.
