It's in the Bag! What's in Yours? In the Bag HomeRome Realty

When with clients on a listing appointment or showing properties in the Baltimore area, it seems that everything I need is in the bag.

Here are a few items that I don't leave home without.

SentriLock key SentriLock Boxs..Easy To Use...Safe and More.... a few dollars and credit cards. Notice the fancy card holder aka rubber band.

Moving on, left to right, camera charger, car keys, Accutape measure, marker, mini highlighter, pen, emergency meds, pliers, scissors, tube of lipstick, my back up Treo and hand sanitizer. Hey what are those pliers for?  What's Under the Carpet?" Is An often asked question.

Let's not forget my Lumix camera, here is the pouch, an empty one, because I  have to use  my camera to take these photos. Guess I could use my Pre to shoot a photo of the camera, but you get the idea. ( My phone is not in the bag. It is always attached at my waist!)

All these other items are  in the bag.

And here is the Bag, about umpteen years old. I would replace it if I could find an exact match. Have had it refinished a couple of times. It fits me perfectly and everything I need is In The Bag!

I always have a flashlight and a botle of water in my car. Then there's a little tool kit in the trunk that has a can of wd40 among other things.

One of my favorite car features is the little secret compartment in the back. I keep pliers, cleaning supplies, screw driver, hammer, small vial of wd-40, Mr. Clean eraser, and a bunch of other miscellaneous things that I have needed over the years. I am trying to get better about remembering my camera!

No, no, no. Don't use rubber bands around your credit cards! They can interfere with the magnetic stripe on the cards. Get yourself a business card holder and keep your credit cards in there.

I like the card holder.   Where can I get me one?  I don't have that much in my bag and it ways a tone.  And, like you, I have had mine forever and can't find anything close to replace it.

Jane, Those card holders are quite expensive...depending on the color and size.

Ray, No, no, no! Please don't take away my designer card holders. I promise not to put the credit cards on the rubber band side. Have tried those other holders...just don't work for me. But thanks for the tip!

Holley, What's in the car could be an entire other post. Camera..never leave home with it, not since AR.

Malcolm, Guess I may have to do another post called "What's in the Car?"

Al and Peggy, Yep, gotta have listing contracts..but not in my purse!

Dr. Stacey, How was it signing in Crayola?

Irene, There's another post about those pliers.

Dan, Cute idea to bring flash lights for the kids. Good thing you stopped with the lipstick.

Sally, That's funny.  Don't think I have owned that much lipstick in my entire life. Simplify! Only one shade, one tube.

Gail, Can't wait to see what's in your bag.

Tim, Thanks for being my very first comment. So what's in your pockets?

Margaret - that's quite an assortment of essential items to have on hand!  You don't really want to know what I have in my purse - as a mom with 3 kids, somedays I'm afraid to look.  I end up with all sorts of things, many of which I did not put there!

I thought I had a pretty complete bag in the trunk .... but I see a couple of things that I could add and be much better prepared.  So, I don't need them .... better safe than looking around for an answer ..... and I especailly liked the green folding stuff.  Not every place you go takes plastic - or sometimes you need to send someone else out to run the pickup errand.  Thanks for sharing!

Of course, being a nurse, Margaret, my eyes went straight to the inhaler (which I do not have) but, the only thing I would say is missing is my 100 foot tape measure!

Jack, There is always enough room for the green folding stuff!

Debe, I no longer carry the tape measure, just the electronic thingy. The tissues are a given, they are in the car with one in my pocket. My clothes always have pockets!

Margaret, what a great bag of ideas. I still don't know how you get it all in the small bag. I'm trying to go smaller.

er

The empty camera bag made me laugh.  Now you have something else to put in there: a WD-40 pen!

Debra, I seem to fill up whatever size there is. Used to carry a huge bag. Now only the essentials.

Er, Thank you for finding this! It works great! Also like the 3oz spray can but the pen is the best!
