Two days I wrote Part 1 of this post relaying comments I’ve heard from my buyers as we walk through houses on their tour list. That first list was about some memorable aspect of the house or property, but not memorable in a good way. These are some of the positive comments I’ve heard from actual clients. So all you potential sellers out there, make sure your house is in a state of readiness to garner comments like these for your property too.
Wow, everything looks perfect. The colors, the upgrades. Was this a model before?
I want it to look like this when I own it to. Please ask them if they’re willing to sell all the furniture too.
So this house has been staged right ?.........No, the sellers still live here. Are you kidding me? Who can live this perfectly??
I can’t believe this backyard. It would make me feel like I’m on vacation, all the time. The house is ok too, but I have to have this backyard.
Wow, that enclosed patio addition is great. The kids could play there in the winter and I could still keep an eye on them.
That house had the built-in entertainment center with the surround sound. Do you think they’d sell the TV and speakers too? Then I wouldn’t have to do a thing.
Oh my gosh, this house is exactly what I described. It has an open kitchen and near a park too. Let’s write an offer now.
There is so much more storage in this house than I would have imagined. We won’t have to keep a storage unit any more, and everything we own will fit in the house too.
This is my house. This is my house! What do I need to do to make sure I get this if there are multiple offers?
Most of us don’t have a house that’s perfect in every way, but when buyers are out looking, that’s exactly what they’re hoping for. When you’re getting your house ready to go on the market, try your darnedest to create that special memorable moment for would-be buyers, so that as they go through house after house, yours will have something positive that stands out, making them come back for a return visit, and hopefully, that coveted offer!
