Tonight, I was going through some pictures that I took while I was in Paris last year, and found an old favorite.  I took this  at a funky little shop in Puces de Paris-St Ouer.  "Puces" means "fleas", and this is probably the largest, though not the funkiest flea market in the city.

This was the result of some French holsehold decluttering - perhaps the previous owners were selling their flat!

I want to go back!  Soon!

I don't blame you! I was just in Quebec - its about as close as I've been to Paris in years - and I loved it!

Patricia ~ I haven't been to Paris since 1984.  I'm sure a lot has changed in 26 years.

Pat - They look very French, perhaps because I, too, have poked around some of those shops. Très mignon.

Paris is another world and a very exciting one.  Doubly exciting now as they are having their upheavals over the government trying to raise the retirement age from a young age to a slightly older one.

I love all those characters in the "flea store", especially the eggplant.

Paris is full of wonderful stores and of course wonderful places to eat.  Love the picture, and the flea market, even though it takes so many metros to get there.  We have a cousin who lives in the Loire Valley and moved from Paris after she had her kids.  She misses Paris as I do.  Alexandra

Oh dear, why oh why did I read this post?  I, who am desperately trying to simplify and declutter, now have a heretofore- unknown passion for improvisations on Humpty Dumpty.
