Quick - buy a house before the snow flies!

Okay - hopefully it's not going to snow too soon or too much - like last winter.  Seems like every since the too much snow of last winter - to the too hot weather of this summer - I can't be happy with the weather.  It has cooled down - temperature wise and if the breeze is good it's nice - but it's humid, I like sweater weather - not too hot, not too cold just right - oh wait that's another story.

Speaking of changing weather - I have joined Liberty Real Estate located in Lyndon in beautiful Osage County, Kansas. Although I made a change the market hasn't changed much.  Hard to get approved for loans, bargains for buyers here and there, but mostly those are lower priced homes. Showings are few and far between, houses are selling but most after many, many days on the market with them selling for less than the seller would like.  Land seems to be holding steady in price - but still sitting for days upon days on the market.  So I thnk sellers (and REALTORS®!) need to be patient and most are. Buyers need to do what it takes to qualify for a loan (even if it's wait, rent and save) but if they can, buyers should take advantage of low interest rates and lower home prices.  And if you like the home and the numbers work for you - go for it.  Yes some people have scored great homes, from foreclosures or desperate sellers at super low prices -  but most sellers can't come near competing with the repo prices, and a lived in home is a whole lot more move in ready than a foreclosed property that has set vacant for 2 years - and may not turn out to be the great bargain it seemed like.

Snow? What's that? Someone mentioned it before, and I'm pretty sure I've seen it in pictures!

It's a rough life, Neva, here in Huntington Beach, CA   :-)

Congrats on your move, Neva. I hope it's been a good one for you so far. And hope the weather stays decent for a spell out your way. In my neck of the woods, we've had a rotten (rotten!) summer-- w-a-a-a-y too cold! Now it's finally getting nicer. Crossing our finger for some good weather days for the fall season!

Oh I really like all the different seasons - you know the saying if you don't like the weather in Kansas wait until tomorrow it will change.  We had a pretty thunderstorm roll through tonight - nothing severe where I live - just some light wind, rain and lightening.  It is like 70 degrees the weather says it is to get down to 55 - I doubt that.  But I just looked, it's not my imagination the humidity is 90% and supposed to stay high until tomorrow afternoon.  And with my allergies - I never know whether to open windows and let the cool weather in or keep them closed and keep some weed and grass and whatever pollen out.  Thanks for the comments!!
