Macon County Fair in Franklin, NC now in its 57th year.

Stepping into the Fall season, September brings the annual Macon County Fair in Franklin, NC.
This years Theme is Sow it. Grow it. Show it. This will mark the 57th year at the Wayne Proffitt Agricultural Center on Hwy.441 south Franklin, NC.

For the very first time at Macon County Fair they are including a Tractor Pull challenge. During the competition each participant pulls a weighted tractor for 39 feet and there will be three divisions: one for children, one for teenagers and one for adults. After seeing this at the Raleigh's state fair, event organizer Steve Anderson wanted to bring it to Franklin, NC Fair.
Sheriff Robbie Holland and sheriff candidate George Lynch have agreed to a pull off. That should be fun to watch.
Some exhibits are fun for the whole community of Fanklin, NC to enjoy. Anyone can enter the Flower Show, The Best Cake in Macon County, Pet Show just to name a few. Or, just come on out for some good ole fun.

Hi June, county fairs are always a lot of fun...I noticed on Saturday the 18th at 8:00 PM there is a performance hog sale taking place...selling Harley's at a county fair...what will they think of next ;))
Nick ~ Your funny dude... I currently still selling tickets for the new harley for Habitat for Humanity. It is harder than one thought it would be. I have about 80 tickets left. I am stopping at 300 so everyone will have a better chance to win. I will let you know.
