Vancouver Home & Interior Design Show

Modern, elegant, contemporary, laid back, relaxed. These would be adjectives I’d use to describe the furniture styles at the fall Vancouver Home & Interior Design Show.

One of my favourite displays was Once A Tree Furniture. Beautiful dining tables constructed of spectacular woods. I also loved the huge, organic oversized vases they had displayed on the table, one standing up, and one laying down. Wouldn’t this make a great centerpiece on a table in a staged home?

Vancouver Home & Interior Design Show Urban Barn had some great, new, contemporary art and I loved the mixed textures on the bed cushions.

Vancouver Home & Interior Design Show ‘The Art of Art’ was a very interesting display of contemporary artists, displaying their original art, behind a backdrop of funky, contemporary furniture.

This Home Show offered some great design ideas which can be applied to home staged properties. It was great to discover some new stores, and rediscover some favourites.

Annie - There was a lot to look at and soak up. I know you have some great shows where you are, though.

Cathy - It's a great way to get the creative juices flowing again, and picking up some new ideas. I wish you could have been there, too!

Linda - I know, the furniture at One A Tree was really beautiful. You couldn't help but run your hand over the smooth wood.

Judy - It was really great to see what's hot and what's not for this year. Glad you liked the pics!

Charlene - Thanks so much. I actually have a really dreadful camera. It's a Nikon Coolpix. However, I fix up all my photos in www.picnik.com - and they come out looking way better. I took Jackson West's webinar about picnik. You should check and see when he's teaching it again, because it was amazing what we learned.
