COMMENTARY:
Last month's market statistics were about in line with where they were this time last year. Overall, year-to-date sales are still down compared to last year while the average home price is still up.
The local real estate market is still moving slowly, without a lot of direction either way. The beginning of the year started out strong for Beachwood real estate sales, but things have tapered off a bit as of late. Low interest rates should be causing more activity in the market, yet market statistics don't seem to reflect this.
The fall market is now upon us and will continue until Thanksgiving. We will be reporting 3rd quater market statistics for Beachwood next month and it will be interesting to see how we compare to last year.
Beachwood has a lot to offer its residents including ideal location, with easy access to I271, superb amenities, and some of the best shopping in all of Ohio. Beachwood is viewed locally as a very desirable community in which to work and live, and those relocating to the area typically put Beachwood on their list of suburbs to consider.
